- An aura is an energy field that surrounds, penetrates and extends beyond the physical body. It is electromagnetic. The human aura has many layers of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual elements.
- Auras contain all the primary colours of the rainbow and change depending on the emotion an individual is experiencing. This reflects the constant change in our thoughts and emotions. Traumas contract, distort and discolour the aura, which in turn effect us holistically.
- A few of the effects of distorted auras are:
~ Fatigue ~ Lacking in vitality/zest for life ~ Distorted or negative thinking ~ unbalanced, unstable and negative emotions. ~ negative, disruptive behaviour ~ Feeling disconnected from others ~ Panic attacks ~ any physical illnesses or mental instability.
- Aura brushing, or having the practitioner run their hands down your aura from top to bottom can help release blockages in your aura. Gemstones or crystal can also be used.
- Aura cleansing may also involve the use of sound, colour, breathing, physical exercise, smudging (use of the smoke from burning sage) and water as well as aura brushing, chakra balancing and meridian washes.
